National Energy Partners Obtains Approval to Construct 3.5MW Solar Project in Mullica Hill, NJ

12/13/10

National Energy Partners in Mount Laurel, NJ has received approval from South Harrison Township (Mullica Hill, NJ) to construct a large solar project on Franklinville Road (3.5 MegaWatts is enough power to supply approximately 450 homes).  The project will use an advanced "single-axis tracker" system to produce more power than a conventional system by allowing the panels to "track" the movement of the sun across the horizon.

The system will be used to provide clean energy to a large cold storage facility and will assume over 80% of the total electricity load for the company.

National Energy Partners plans to begin construction of the system early in 2011 and should complete the project by the end of the year.
